Wedding Slippers//FO Friday

My little sister is getting married in the summer (I'm her maid of honour); and so I decided to knit her some wedding slippers to wear the night before. We get to have the bridal suite to ourselves, with breakfast in bed so we're feeling pretty special!!!
I used the pattern, Ridiculously Easy Mary Jane Slippers, but made a few modifications. I needed them smaller as Clare has teeny feet and I didn't particularly want the band - so I just knit a little higher up the front and they fit like a dream.
She really loves them and can't wait to wear them - I love knitting things for people who truly appreciate the work that's gone into it. I'm in the middle of a few gift knits right now, what are you gift knitting?

I must agree there is nothing like appreciation to make it all worthwhile! It makes me want to knit and knit and knit :D

  3. I love the special buttons on top. What a lovely gift. I've been working on some Turkish Bed Socks that I'd like to give as gifts but am not quite sure I'll be getting the size just right without asking for a foot measurement and that would ruin the surprise-

  6. So cute! What a wonderful idea. I love gift knitting, too. I've actually challenged myself this year to start my holiday gifts earlier and use up stash, so I'm about to start Christmas stockings :).

  7. Those are really cute and look super comfy. I am currently making a shawl for my mom and considering casting on a hat for a friend that is having a baby.
