Progress//Work in Progress Wednesday

I was hoping this week to have alot to show you, that I would have done loads of knitting and made lots of progress but in actual fact I've only knit on 2 items but I've made a fair amount of progress on both (just not as much as I would have liked)!!!

I'm taking part in the Harry Potter Knitting/Crochet House Cup over on Ravelry, it's loads of fun and there are lots of challenges. I decided to try out writing another pattern, and then knitting it - I made a few little mistakes but it's going well. Here is the beginning of the Queen of Hearts:
I've also nearly doubled my lace shawl, I'm really loving knitting this - it's actually very satisfying seeing it come together, here is Sylph:
In other news, I have an interview and giveaway by Stephanie of TinyOwlKnits going on right on, and I have a knitting survey happening now also - I want to know your thoughts on knitting blogs.

Make sure you check in over at Tami's blog and over at Small Things to see what everyone else is progressing on.
I'll be back tomorrow with a bit of a fun post,
V xx

  1. Oh I loved the Harry Potter books and movies. I'll have to check out that Ravelry group. I like the color you've chosen for the house cup. It's so bright and cheery! Just how I like it.

The lace shawl looks lovely. Creating a shawl is on my todo list. I'll most likely get started in early summer.

  2. I've never really understood how the house cup WIP group works, but it has always looked like fun. I love, love, love the color you have picked out for the shawl, it is so flowy and pretty.

  4. Seeing lace morph into something you can wear always makes me happy! It's a beautiful color too.

  5. Ooh, pretty shawls! The colors on both are lovely, but I especially love the red. It's such a perfect shade for a project called "Queen of Hearts"!

  6. Funnily enough, as much as I love the Harry Potter series, I haven't taken part in any HP related projects. I should probably change that! I took your survey, too -- very interesting.

  7. Pretty, pretty yarn for Sylph. One thing, when you link to the pattern can you link to the pattern detail page rather than your project page? Your projects are not visible except to someone registered with and signed into Ravelry.
