High Plains Drifter//WIP Wednesday

I've started organising my WIP's for 7 wips in 7 days - it's going well although I haven't done a whole lot of knitting this week, both myself and my lovely wife came down with some kind of evil cold thing so it's really taken all of our energy to be awake, let alone knit!!! Anyways here is a little WIP to share with you:

This yarn was cast on 3 times for the dragonette shawl - it was driving me insane, it just wasn't working. So I went on a hunt for another shawl pattern - and found High Plains Drifter, it's so pretty and such an easy rewarding knit, I cast on straight away:

So what about reading? Ok so I stayed up until 1.30 this morning to finish this:
Yup I have finished the Hunger Games series, it took just over a week - they were all equally awesome, I've loved reading them and now I'm a little sad that it's over!!!

What are you reading and knitting this week? I'll be back in the next few days to share my 7 WIPs/7 Days projects!!!

I'm playing along with Ginny and Tami this week.

  1. Cool that you read the Hunger Games, the hype on this series is well worth it - out of the ordinary. Hope you are feeling much better.

  2. As you know, I'm knitting the HPD shawl, too, and love the vanilla-ness of it. It's really simple but if you love the yarn you're working with, it's pure pleasure!!

  5. High Plains Drifter is a gorgeous pattern. Are you adding two other colours? Can't wait to see. I'm reading 419 and just loving it. Such an interesting blending of stories.

  6. That shawl (amazing looking pattern, great choice!) should work up pretty quickly with a yarn of that weight too, which should be satisfying. I hope that you two feel better soon!

  10. Sorry the first one didn't work out.....The Hunger Games trilogy was awesome..if you haven't seen the first movie, it's pretty faithful...can't wait for the others...Her other series, Gregor the Overlander is pretty good too...but very different...

And you may not live where there are many yarn stores, but you live with fantastic accents and kilts..
